Hi, this is my very first blog post and thank you for visiting Liv’s-in-L.A! Im so excited to be starting my own blog and sharing my new journey and life as I experience living in the wonderful and diverse city of Los Angeles.
After almost a year of plucking up the courage and finding the inner strength, I finally decided to take up the amazing opportunity I had been given and accepted my offer to attend FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) which is based in downtown LA. For me this was a big move as it meant me leaving Newcastle, England which was a small city that I had been raised in for my whole 19 years of living.. so of course this was a BIG move for me and I was sceptical to say the least.
However, I knew this move could only be the making of me and overall the right choice..and now I’m Here! Im living in downtown L.A by myself and so far I’m loving it!!!
My first day at FIDM was today, and after taking a year out of education after graduating from high school I was apprehensive to go back into education and start new. As a shy and introverted character I was nervous as to what my first day at college would entail, however as my mum always told me I should used this as a ‘character building’ experience and I began my first day at school with an open mind, excited to meet new people and intrigued to see what my Fashion Design major had to offer.
